Kershaw Blur Folding Knife Review

Kershaw Black Blur by Ken Onion Assisted 3-3/8" Black Combo Edge Blade

The tactical version of the well known Kershaw Blur by Ken Kershaw, this black anodized and non reflective combo edged tanto is also one of the most efficient alternatives to an automatic police knife.

Only 4.5" long closed, the aluminum based handle contains generous insert of Trac-Tec, for a non slip grip even in wet conditions. A 3 3/8" high carbon stainless steel blade opens one handed with ease. The patented SpeedSafe design uses the same spring steel bar that locks the blade in closed position to propel the blade forward once the thumb pushes it through the first part of the arc. Anyone who has need of an easily opened folder in situations where two handed use isn't an option can now enjoy that convenience, even if you're a civilian.

The wide handle and stout blade offer strength in use as well as a secure and comfortable grip, with a total carry weight of only 4.2 ounces. That's a reasonable load for anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet, in either the city or the bush. A lanyard hole is standard in case you want a wrist strap for extra security, but for most situations the stainless steel pocket clip is sufficient.

The Kershaw Blur by Kai USA comes with an excellent warranty but as with most tactical folders is not covered for use as a prybar. As a cutting tool it serves well.
