Benchmade 940 Osborne Knife Review

Benchmade Model 940 Osborne 3.4" S30V Satin Plain Edge Blade

The Benchmade 940 knife is designed by none other than Australia's Warren Osborne, who works alongside Mel Pardue in Benchmade's creativity department. He's world-renowned for making custom "gentleman's" knives that are among the best you'll ever find.

The Benchmade 940 Osborne has a reverse tanto blade, which might be a different feel vs. traditional knives, but its unique design will appeal to many. It has two very prominent flat edges, clipping to a sharp point at the end. Oh and did we forget to mention it's made from S30V stainless steel? That's one of the best all-around steels you'll find.

The blade folds down into a lightweight green aluminum handle, and is fitted with an AXIS locking mechanism with automatic release. It comes with a belt clip, but since it's so lightweight and measures less than 4.5 inches when closed, you'll probably like it best in your pocket.

It's reasonably priced for the materials used, but that doesn't mean it's cheap. Those who own it say they love it and wouldn't trade it for the world. And that's to be expected. When you have someone like Osborne engineering a precise knife, good things are bound to come from it.
